The campaign "Report where death is traded" has started in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On April 20, 2026, at 12:43 PM, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, from April 20 to May 1, 2026, the first stage of the all-Russian campaign "Report Where Death is Sold" will take place. The goal of the campaign is to engage the public in combating the illegal drug trade, to obtain significant information, and to provide qualified assistance and consultations on issues related to the treatment and rehabilitation of drug-dependent individuals. Police officers will conduct checks in places where minors and youth gather, aimed at identifying and preventing crimes and administrative offenses in the field of illegal drug trafficking. Citizens who contact the drug control units of the regional internal affairs will receive the necessary assistance regarding drug addiction prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of drug-dependent individuals. During the campaign "Report Where Death is Sold," residents of the region will be able to anonymously report any offenses and crimes related to the illegal drug trade by calling the hotline of the Drug Control Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region: 8 (831) 268-23-32, as well as through the round-the-clock phones of duty units of the internal affairs or through multi-channel phones: "02" or "112." In 2025, during this campaign, the hotline received 675 calls regarding the illegal drug trade and psychotropic substances. Based on the information received, police uncovered 36 crimes and stopped 204 administrative offenses. More than 5 kilograms of narcotic substances were seized from illegal circulation.
