      April 20, 2026 11:43 Society After the failure of the road surface at the 19 km mark of the "Vad - Novy Mir" highway near the village of Poretskoye, a special commission has been established. It is headed by the first deputy director of the State Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "GUAD," the agency's press service reported. The damaged section, which is 1.6 km long, was previously used during the construction of the federal highway M-12 "Vostok." It is currently in the acceptance stage by GUAD for the volumes of reconstruction carried out by the contractor of M-12. Due to the incident, traffic on the specified section is currently closed. The damaged section can be bypassed through the village of Ichalki via the road 22K-0068 "Perevoz - Shatki." Following the inspection, decisions will be made regarding further actions to eliminate the defect and restore safe passage.
