Almost 400 marriages were registered in the Nizhny Novgorod region during the Red Hill week.

      On April 20, 2026, at 13:28, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, during the week of Krasnaya Gorka, the civil registry offices registered about 400 marriages. Of these, 11 weddings took place directly on the festive day — April 19, and were held at the Nizhny Novgorod Marriage House. On the same day, at the upper station of the funicular to the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, two couples officially formalized their relationships: Nikolai Marievichev and Anastasia Kravchenko, as well as Vardan Tovmasyan and Ekaterina Lobanova. The ceremonies were part of the "Krasnaya Gorka" festival, organized by the youth family center "Manezh" of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church in collaboration with the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Institute of Demographic Development." The event was supported by the Department of Social Communications and Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration and the Main Civil Registry Office of the region. The official registration was conducted by the head of the regional civil registry office, Olga Krasnova. She noted that the union formed on Krasnaya Gorka is "blessed for a long and happy life," wishing the newlyweds warmth, understanding, and joy. Deputy of the State Duma Artem Kavinov also congratulated the newlyweds. According to him, a support system for families has been established in the region — from payments at the birth of children to additional measures for young and large families. This creates conditions to "not postpone the most important thing — the birth of children," and he wished for children's laughter to be heard in families. After the ceremony, the newlyweds laid flowers at the monument to Prince Dmitry Donskoy and his wife Princess Yefrosinya — revered patrons of marriage and family. The wedding day concluded with the sacrament of marriage in the church in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker at the Manezh of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.
