The complaints of orphans about housing in the Krasnobakovsky district turned into a criminal case.
April 17, 2026 08:00 Incidents Orphans, children left without parental care, and residents relocated from emergency housing have appealed to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Nizhny Novgorod region. People complained about the housing provided to them in 2020 in the Krasnobakovsky district. According to the applicants, numerous violations occurred during the construction of the houses. As a result, the buildings do not meet the requirements and are essentially uninhabitable. Acting head of the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee Alexander Dynkov conducted an on-site reception. He personally inspected the apartments in question and spoke with the residents. The meeting was attended by representatives of the local government of the Semyonovsky urban district and staff from the department. Each applicant was heard, and the presented arguments were examined. Following the reception, a criminal case was initiated under paragraph "e" of part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — exceeding official powers. The consideration of the appeals has been placed under personal control. Now investigators will need to take the necessary actions to establish all the circumstances and provide a legal assessment of the actions of the officials responsible for the acceptance of the houses and quality control of the work. It was previously reported that Nizhny Novgorod lawyers helped a 54-year-old orphan secure the right to an apartment. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
