Almost 80 Nizhny Novgorod libraries will join the "Library Night".

      On April 13, 2026, 18:22 Culture and Leisure About 80 city libraries in Nizhny Novgorod will join the annual All-Russian event "Biblionoch" (0+), which will take place on April 18. This was announced by the city's head, Yuri Shalabaev, on his social media. This year, the event is held under the slogan "Unity of Peoples - Strength of Russia!". According to the mayor, the chosen theme is particularly close to the multinational Nizhny Novgorod, where representatives of more than 115 nationalities live. “Guests can expect a rich program: master classes in folk crafts and creating talismans, jewelry, and elements of national costumes, creative meetings with writers, performances by folk song and dance ensembles, and even a rock concert,” Yuri Shalabaev shared on social media. In addition, puppet and theatrical performances, lectures, excursions, photo sessions in national costumes, fashion shows, and video salons with films about the cultures of the peoples of Russia are planned. The city’s Department of Culture clarified that most libraries will start working on April 18 from 16:00.
