A former employee of the Nizhny Novgorod city administration was sentenced to 4 years in prison.
On April 14, 2026, at 18:34, Incidents: The former head of the urban development department of the regional city administration, Anastasia Ivanova, has been sentenced. The court found her guilty of receiving a large bribe, reports the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.
Recall that the accused was detained in March 2025 and placed under house arrest, which she violated. She was then taken into custody.
As established by the investigation and the court, in 2024, the official facilitated a positive decision regarding the lease of a land plot to a commercial organization. The land was intended for the implementation of an investment project for the construction of a factory.
For her assistance in providing the plot, free from other investors, Ivanova received half a million rubles. The money was transferred through an intermediary, whose criminal case has been separated into a separate proceeding.
The Investigative Committee clarified that the accused took advantage of the fact that the procedure for formalizing land leases for investment projects in Nizhny Novgorod takes a long time. The bribe was received between August and December 2024.
The Soviet District Court of Nizhny Novgorod sentenced the convicted individual to four years of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony. She was also fined 2.5 million rubles.
Earlier, it was reported that the heads of two municipal budgetary institutions in Nizhny Novgorod were accused of receiving large bribes.
