1.3 thousand applications submitted for training under the national project "Personnel"

      In the first quarter of 2026, residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region submitted more than 1,300 applications to participate in free training programs for new professions as part of the national project "Personnel." The highest number of applications came for areas in caregiving, digital technologies, tourism, and unmanned aviation. Among the in-demand programs are "Care Assistant," "Artificial Intelligence Systems Specialist," "Tour Guide," "Hotel Administrator," "1C Programmer," "1C Developer," "Operator of Unmanned Aerial Systems," and "Emergency and Urgent Care." As noted by Igor Pantyukhin, the Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region, more than 100 educational programs are currently available to residents of the region. In 2026, the quota for training in the Nizhny Novgorod region has been approved for more than 6,000 people. Classes have already begun for 167 individuals. Training is organized in a blended format using distance learning technologies. This state support measure is provided to mothers on maternity leave, youth under 35, the unemployed, pre-retirees and retirees, people with disabilities, participants of the special military operation, and their family members. According to the Nizhny Novgorod employment center "Work of Russia," the largest number of applications—820—came from citizens seeking employment. Another 242 applications were submitted by residents aged 50 and older, including pre-retirees. 74 applications were submitted by women on maternity leave, and 46 by unemployed mothers with children under 7 years old.
