Bus routes will be changed in Nizhny Novgorod due to the Procession on April 11-12.
On April 11, 2026, at 11:01, Society Public transport movement in Nizhny Novgorod will be changed on April 11 and 12 due to the holding of the Cross Procession (0+). This was reported by the city administration.
The changes will affect a number of bus routes and will be in effect during the restrictions.
Buses No. 3, 13, 19, 45, 61, 70, 71, 90, 92, 95, 130, and 242 heading towards the hilly part will travel via the metro bridge, Odessa, and Gorky streets, through Gorky Square, then along Oshare, Academician Blokhina, and Varvarskaya. Towards the river part — via Varvarskaya, Oktyabrskaya, Oshare, Gorky, through Gorky Square, then along Odessa and the metro bridge.
Route No. 5 will run from Delovaya to Chernigovskaya Street.
Bus No. 7 will be directed to Revolution Square via Betankura, Murashkinskaya, and Sovnarkomovskaya streets, and towards Karl Marx Street — via Romanova, Dolzhanskaya, Murashkinskaya, and Betankura.
Route No. 18 to the hilly part will go via Betankura, Murashkinskaya, Sovnarkomovskaya, the metro bridge, Odessa, Gorky, Ilyinskaya, Maslyakova, and Gorky Square. In the opposite direction — through Gorky Square, Gorky, Ilyinskaya, Malaya Pokrovskaya, Malaya Yamskaya streets, then along Odessa, the metro bridge, and further along Romanova, Dolzhanskaya, Murashkinskaya, and Betankura.
Buses No. 22, 26, 41, 43, 78, and 94 will head to the hilly part via the metro bridge, Odessa, Gorky, Ilyinskaya, Maslyakova, and Gorky Square, returning via the same route through Malaya Pokrovskaya and Malaya Yamskaya.
Route No. 24 will be changed to pass through Betankura, Murashkinskaya, Sovnarkomovskaya, the metro bridge, and central streets to Varvarskaya. Bus No. 74 will proceed to the hilly part via Murashkinskaya and Sovnarkomovskaya, exiting onto the metro bridge and further through the city center, in the opposite direction — via Varvarskaya, Oktyabrskaya, and the metro bridge.
On all changed routes, passenger boarding and alighting will be maintained at existing stops along the way. The turnaround of bus No. 31 at Minin and Pozharsky Square will be organized around the large square. Route No. 87 will be shortened to Marata Street, and No. 91 — to Minin and Pozharsky Square.
It was previously reported that temporary traffic restrictions would be introduced in the city due to the Cross Procession (0+) on April 11-12.
The Cross Procession will take place from the Archangel Cathedral in the Kremlin and will conclude at the Nevsky Cathedral at the Arrow.
