He was found guilty of receiving bribes in particularly large and large amounts – there are six episodes, reported the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The investigation and the court established that in November-December 2023, employees of the audit chamber conducted an audit of the use of budget funds allocated to the administration of the Semyonovsky district for the construction of a school. During the audit, violations amounting to over 20 million rubles were identified. In December of the same year, the auditor and four inspectors, acting in collusion, received 1.4 million rubles from the director of the construction organization. For this money, they were supposed to conceal the identified violations and not include them in the audit report. After receiving the bribe, false information was entered into the documents. This allowed the company's manager to avoid responsibility and ensure the unhindered commissioning of the facility. Furthermore, as established by the investigation, the auditor along with the inspectors repeatedly received money for distorting the results of audits. False data about violations were included in the final acts and reports, which subsequently exempted organizations from fines. The total amount of bribes received exceeded 2 million rubles. The illegal actions were uncovered by investigators from the Investigative Committee in conjunction with employees of the FSB and police economic security units. The court sentenced the auditor to 7.5 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. He was also fined 5 million rubles and banned from holding positions in state and municipal service related to the exercise of power and administrative functions for a period of 5 years.
