The meeting took place in Nizhny Novgorod. The winner was determined only in the fifth overtime — "Irbis" emerged victorious with a score of 3:2 (1:1, 0:0, 1:1, 1:0). The total duration of the match was 142 minutes and 49 seconds. Thus, the previous MHL record was broken. The longest match before this was between Yekaterinburg's "Avto" and Ufa's "Tolpar," played in March 2019. At that time, the teams spent 122 minutes and 56 seconds on the ice.
