The sections in the riverfront part of Nizhny Novgorod where tram tracks are being replaced have been named.

      On April 7, 2026, at 12:48 PM, Society In the riverfront part of Nizhny Novgorod, the reconstruction of tram tracks continues at several sites. The progress of the work was reported by the LLC "Ecological Projects" to IA "Vremya N".

      One of the key segments is the line from Komsomolskaya Square to Dubki Park. Currently, specialists are laying out the rail and sleeper grid and drilling wells for the foundations of the supports.

      It is expected that tram traffic in this direction will be restored in the summer of this year. Information about the timelines for work at the turning loop at Komsomolskaya Square will be communicated additionally.

      Work is also underway on the line from May 1 Park to Ak sakov Street. The rail and sleeper grid is being straightened, casings for gas pipelines are being installed, curbstones are being set, and cast asphalt concrete is being laid at intersections.

      In addition, reconstruction is ongoing on the stretch between Socgorod-1 and Socgorod-2. There, the rail and sleeper grid is being laid out and straightened, and supports for the contact network are being installed.

      On Novikov-Priboy Street, specialists are laying out the rail and sleeper grid and developing a pit for its installation. On Chkalov Street, cast asphalt concrete is being laid.

      It was previously reported that tram tracks are planned to be extended to Shcherbinki and Novinki.
