The recruitment for the fifth season of the TV show "Cool Topic" is open.

      April 7, 2026 18:04 Society Since April 6, the TV channel "Russia," the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation with the support of VK company, is conducting a nationwide selection of participants for the anniversary fifth season of the TV show "Class Topic" (0+). The project, dedicated to modern teachers, was created at the request of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and aims to showcase the brightest contemporary educators in the country and raise the prestige of this profession.

      Teachers of biology, geography, history, physics, chemistry, mathematics, Russian language, and literature from any region of the country can participate in the TV show "Class Topic." Candidates will undergo testing in their subject and record a video introduction. The application period will last until May 31 inclusive. The federal operator of the TV show is the Humanitarian Projects Fund, the strategic partner is the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Dialogue.Regions," and the educational partner is the historical parks "Russia – My History."

      The grand prize is a series of educational programs on a federal channel. Valuable gifts will be provided for participants. Finalists will take part in scientific and educational trips to the regions where the enterprises are located.

      In 2025, six thousand six hundred forty-four educators from across the country participated in the "Class Topic" project. 35 teachers – five from each of the seven subjects – reached the semifinals: their video lessons are available in the "Class Topic" community on VKontakte.

      According to the results of the All-Russian public voting, seven educators reached the finals, and in the grand finale of the fourth season, the winning team was "Teachers," which included biology teacher Svetlana Shipunova and Russian language and literature teacher Tatyana Parfyonova from St. Petersburg, chemistry teacher Iman Edelkhanova from Grozny, geography teacher Alina Khametova from the Orenburg region, history teacher Yulia Sadykova from Ufa, mathematics teacher Andrey Teofanov from the Moscow region, and physics teacher Polina Nikonova from Saransk. All educators demonstrated outstanding knowledge and team spirit, earning a well-deserved victory.

      Very soon, a series of educational programs "Class Topic. Simply Complicated" will air on one of the federal channels – this opportunity to create one's own educational program on television is the main prize for the winners of the project.
