      Nizhny Novgorod Governor Gleb Nikitin sharply criticized the format of "Conversations about Important Matters" in the region's schools. The problems of their implementation were discussed during an interview with journalist Yuri Podolyaka. Recall that the central theme of the conversation was the demographic policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Nikitin claims that the authorities aimed to help women who find themselves in difficult life situations at the moment of reproductive choice. Moreover, in his opinion, promoting an ideology that will increase birth rates in the country must be done gradually and at all levels. One of the projects that could help in this regard is "Conversations about Important Matters" in schools. At the same time, Nikitin expressed concern and dissatisfaction with how this initiative is being implemented in practice. Initially, the goal of such lessons was to have a dialogue about things and attitudes that would be sincere and correct. But this does not always happen.

      "I analyze the topics, and they seem to be pulled from the ceiling. But we can take the ideology, what is important for us to discuss today. The topic of demographics, I think, should occupy 40-50% of the time or at least a third," noted the governor.
