The competition "Family and the Future of Russia-2026" has started.

      The Andrew the First-Called Foundation, the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University, and the "Istoki" Target Capital Fund have announced the start of the All-Russian competition "Family and the Future of Russia-2026". Journalists from federal, regional, municipal, and other media, as well as teachers from journalism faculties, are invited to participate. In 2026, the competition will be held in eight nominations: "Print Media," "Radio," "Television," "Internet Media," "Social Media Projects," "Editorial Projects for Young Journalists," "Teacher of Social Journalism," and "Young Journalist" (aged 18 to 25). Applications with materials and projects on family themes are accepted until July 25, 2026, inclusive. To participate, it is necessary to fill out a questionnaire at the link: https://forms.yandex.ru/u/69972f1ef47e7382491636fb/. As noted by Vladimir Bushuev, the director of the Andrew the First-Called Foundation and chairman of the expert council, the competition was initiated in 2013 after a study of the representation of family themes in the media. According to him, during this time, interest in the topic has significantly increased, and materials about Russian families are regularly published in regional and local publications. This year, the nomination "Scientific Works" has been excluded from the rules. Instead, two new nominations have been added: "Editorial Projects for Young Journalists" and "Teacher of Social Journalism." The first is aimed at supporting editorial offices working with young correspondents, while the second is aimed at encouraging university teachers who develop social themes in educational programs and media projects. An application can be submitted by one author; collective applications are not considered. The number of applications from one media outlet and from one author in different nominations is not limited; however, it is prohibited to submit identical works in different nominations.

They will be invited to a three-day practical conference in Moscow, which will take place from October 29 to November 1, 2026. More than 50 finalists will receive main and special prizes. Cash prizes are provided for the first, second, and third places in each nomination, as well as for the holders of special prizes from the chairman of the expert council of the competition.
