Mass drone attack in Nizhny Novgorod: "Lukoil" facilities and CHP damaged

      On April 5, 2026, at 08:35, Incidents: Air defense forces repelled an attack by 30 enemy drones over the industrial zone of the Kstovo district last night, reported the region's governor Gleb Nikitin. According to him, as a result of debris falling, two facilities of LLC "Lukoil-Nizhny Novgorodnefteorgsintez" were damaged, leading to a fire that was managed to be localized. Damage was also recorded at the Novogorkovskaya CHPP, as well as in several residential houses and on private plots. Efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of the incident, and power supply to consumers is gradually being restored. Preliminary reports indicate that no people were harmed. Recall that on April 3, enemy drones were shot down over Nizhny Novgorod (Prioksky and Kstovo districts) and over Bor. As a result, engineering communications were damaged, and windows were blown out in houses. The mayor Yuri Shalabaev reported on the consequences of the incident.
