Easter Procession 2026: where and when it will take place in Nizhny Novgorod

      On April 5, 2026, at 15:15, Society In Nizhny Novgorod, an Easter procession will take place on April 12 (0+). The procession is scheduled to start at 15:00 near the Archangel Cathedral, located within the Kremlin grounds. This information has been published on the website of the Nizhny Novgorod Metropolis.

      The route of the procession will pass through key points in the city: from the Kremlin, participants will head along the Zeleny Syezd, then proceed through the People's Unity Square, along Rozhdestvenskaya Street, cross the Kanavinsky Bridge, and finish at the Cathedral in honor of Alexander Nevsky.

      Throughout the procession, the faithful will be accompanied by the ringing of bells and Easter hymns.

      The final point will be the Nevsky Cathedral at the Arrow, where the Metropolitan of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, Georgy, will bless the Tsar Easter cake and a giant kulich. Everyone will be able to enjoy them.
