Anapa is preparing to open its beaches after the oil spill.

      The Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) stated that the large-scale cleaning of the seabed and disposal of oil products provide grounds for cautious optimism. At the same time, the situation remains under control — monitoring of water and beach conditions will continue throughout the season. Beaches can be opened provided all restoration requirements are met, including the renewal of the sand layer.

      However, tour operators have not yet recorded a sharp increase in demand. The Russian Union of Travel Industry noted that interest in the resort remains at a stable level and exceeds last year's figures, but there is no frenzy.

      Karina Vatyana, the executive director of the "Rodnik" sanatorium, emphasized that sales are steady and about 20% better than a year ago, but there is still a long way to go to previous volumes. Tourists are cautious about the information, and the opening of the beaches is expected only from June 1, while the emergency regime in the city is still in place.

      At the same time, the company "Multitur" reported a significant increase in bookings — several times compared to last year. However, it is also emphasized that spikes in demand are more often related to the prices of specific hotels rather than news about the opening of beaches.

      The cost of recreation in Anapa is currently 10-20% lower than in Sochi or Gelendzhik. Hoteliers are not raising rates yet, observing the dynamics of sales. The highest demand is for hotels with an "all-inclusive" system, especially among families with children.

      "InTourist" also notes an increase in interest in the destination without sharp jumps. According to the company, demand has increased 3.5 times year-on-year, but tourists continue to look around and clarify the details of their trips.

      Experts emphasize that the behavior of vacationers has changed: now, not only the presence of a beach but also infrastructure — pools, spas, animation, and service level — play an important role.

      It was previously reported that nine international flight destinations will be available to Nizhny Novgorod residents in the spring-summer.
