      Nizhny Novgorod hosted the All-Russian conference "Educators of Russia: Psychological Well-Being of the Child," which brought together about 200 experts in preschool education from 18 regions of the country. The focus of the educators was on the advanced experience of Nizhny Novgorod preschool teachers, their methodological developments, and real practices. As reported by the regional Ministry of Education, the conference was part of a series of events dedicated to the Year of Preschool Education in the education system, which has been declared by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The meeting was organized by the All-Russian public organization "Educators of Russia" with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund and the government of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The plenary session was opened by State Duma deputies of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Larisa Tutova and Natalia Nazarova. "Today we increasingly talk about the need to return to the preschool education system what has always been its strength — respect for the nature of childhood, reliance on domestic pedagogical traditions, upbringing as a foundation, and play as a natural way of development. The child and their full childhood should be at the center of preschool education," said Larisa Tutova, a member of the State Duma Committee on Education and the head of the All-Russian public organization "Educators of Russia." Experts noted that Nizhny Novgorod is a city with rich traditions in preschool education. This fact influenced the decision to hold the event in the capital of the Volga region and to broadcast the experience of Nizhny Novgorod teachers across the country. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, work on relevant areas in preschool education is coordinated by the regional Ministry of Education in conjunction with the Nizhny Novgorod Institute for Education Development. "The institute offers various formats for professional development and retraining for educators. In 2025, more than 1,500 preschool education specialists updated their competencies through 27 programs. In addition, educators receive methodological support, enhance their competencies through professional skill competitions, and actively share their developments with colleagues from other regions," explained Elena Okunkova, rector of NIRO. During the conference, issues of children's well-being and safety were discussed, particularly the prevention of stress and anxiety. Additionally, educators talked about developing effective forms of interaction between educational organizations and families. Psychologist Irina Vasilieva from kindergarten No. 29 "Svetlyachok" in the city of Kulebaki, winner of the regional stage of the All-Russian competition "Psychologist of Russia-2013," introduced participants to her authorial methodology that helps children properly experience various emotions. "Modern children are active, living in conditions of information overload, and the main task of adults — educators and parents — is to help children identify their feelings, cope with negative emotions, and notice the positive," emphasized Irina Vasilieva. The exchange of experience continued during practical workshops led by leading specialists in preschool education. Their topics covered various aspects of preschool education: children's health, creativity, and fostering children's interest in scientific and natural knowledge of the surrounding world.

      At kindergarten No. 46 in Nizhny Novgorod, a parent educational meeting titled "Child's Health: Continuity of Values and Meanings in Family and Kindergarten" took place. The meeting brought together educators, parents, and experts in preschool education. The event helped Nizhny Novgorod parents enhance their competence in issues related to the health of the younger generation. Let us remind you that the development of preschool education is one of the areas of work in the region within the framework of the national project "Youth and Children." The national project was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. It includes nine federal projects and programs: "Russia — a Country of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Educators and Mentors," "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for the Generation of Leaders," and "Professionalism."
