The Nizhny Novgorod resident returned the dog to his ex-girlfriend after the court and fines.
March 30, 2026 19:00 Society A 27-year-old man from Nizhny Novgorod returned a Pomeranian to his ex-girlfriend after a court ruling and the intervention of bailiffs, reported the regional department of the Federal Bailiff Service. When the couple was in a relationship, the girl sometimes left her Pomeranian with the young man. At the time of their breakup, the dog was with the man. When asked to return the Pomeranian, the man refused, after which the owner went to court. The court granted the claim and ordered the return of the animal. However, the Nizhny Novgorod man ignored it and continued to hide the dog. Then the bailiff issued a ruling imposing a temporary travel ban on the man outside Russia and prohibited registration actions regarding his car. He was also fined an enforcement fee of five thousand rubles. Additionally, two protocols were drawn up under Article 17.15 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation for "Failure to comply with the requirements of the enforcement document of a non-property nature." The total amount of fines imposed was four thousand rubles. After all these measures, the man eventually complied with the court's decision and returned the dog to its owner. Earlier, it was reported that bailiffs evicted two Nizhny Novgorod residents from a relative's sold apartment. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
