      The Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic named after M. Rostropovich will become one of the venues for the Days of Abkhaz Culture in Russia on April 6, which will take place from April 2 to April 6. On this day, the State Honored Ensemble of Folk Song and Dance of the Republic of Abkhazia named after Vasily Tsargush will perform at the Kremlin Concert Hall. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The organizer of the Days of Abkhaz Culture, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, is Rosconcert. The project will cover three Russian cities – Moscow, Vladimir, and Nizhny Novgorod. Russian audiences will see performances by one of the brightest and most original groups of Abkhazia – the State Honored Ensemble of Folk Song and Dance of the Republic of Abkhazia named after Vasily Tsargush, whose artistic director is the People's Artist of the Republic of Abkhazia, People's Artist of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic Valery Tania. The ensemble was founded in 1931 and has repeatedly become a laureate of international festivals over the years, as well as performing on tours in many countries – Germany, Greece, Turkey, Syria, France, Mexico, Argentina, and others. Performances will take place on the stage of the Moscow State Academic Theater "Russian Song," at the Vladimir Regional Philharmonic, and at the Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Philharmonic named after M. For the Days of Abkhaz Culture in Russia, the ensemble has prepared a special program that will reflect all the beauty and diversity of Abkhaz folk songs and dances. The audience will hear the suite "Abkhaz Wedding," the folk heroic song "Ozbak," the ancient marching song "Samathua," the humorous song "Rafida," and the legendary song "My Abkhazia" by the Soviet composer, Honored Artist of the Arts of the Abkhaz ASSR Aslan Dauria, to the words of the Abkhaz Soviet writer and poet, laureate of the State Prize of the Abkhaz ASSR named after D.I. Gulia Ivan Tarba.

      Let us remind you that the Days of Abkhaz Culture in Russia is a traditional annual format of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Abkhazia. Within the framework of the interagency cooperation program signed in 2025, tours of collectives from both countries take place, and Russian and Abkhaz performers participate in international music festivals and competitions in Abkhazia and Russia. This year, reciprocal performances by Russian performers will take place in mid-April in Sukhum, the capital of the Republic of Abkhazia.

      The Days of Russian Culture in foreign countries are held annually by the Ministry of Culture of Russia to systematically expand Russian cultural presence, promote national spiritual values and traditions abroad, and support compatriots. In 2025, Russian events took place in Abkhazia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, North Korea, India, Indonesia, Iran, the UAE, Oman, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, France, South Ossetia, and Mauritius.
