The power of boilers in Nizhny Novgorod has been reduced due to warm weather.
March 30, 2026 13:40 Society The boilers and heating points of the Joint Utility Operator have been switched to the minimum possible parameters considering the increase in air temperature. This was reported by the company. The decision was made to maintain a comfortable temperature in residential buildings and social institutions, as well as in response to residents' requests. The company explained that the temperature schedule is adjusted depending on the weather: according to forecasts, in the coming days, daytime temperatures will rise to an average of +15 degrees. At the same time, it is not possible to significantly lower the temperature of the heat carrier, as the boilers also provide heating for hot water, which must be no lower than 60 degrees. "At the moment, it is premature to switch the heat energy complex to summer hydraulic mode, as the spring period in the existing climatic conditions is characterized by sharp cold snaps and significant daily temperature fluctuations," the company added. Residents of buildings where radiators are equipped with heat output regulators can independently set a comfortable level of heat in their apartments. Earlier, Nizhny Novgorod residents were informed about the conditions for completing the heating season. It also became known that residents of the capital of the Volga region will receive more than 350 million rubles back for heating as a result of the annual adjustment of charges. Let us remind you that those dissatisfied with the stuffiness in Nizhny Novgorod buses were advised to open the windows. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
