The area at the "Lyadov Square" bus stop in Nizhny Novgorod will be paved.

      On March 28, 2026, at 09:00, Society In Nizhny Novgorod, the condition of Lyadov Square and underground passages was inspected after winter. The inspection was conducted by the head of the Soviet District Administration, Alexander Ivanov, as part of the preparations for the beautification month, which will take place from April 5 to May 15.

      During the inspection, special attention was paid to the condition of the walls in the underground passages. According to specialists from the district's public utilities management, last year, at the request of the city head, 75 surveillance cameras were installed in two passages at Lyadov Square. They stated that this helped reduce the number of vandalism cases; however, the walls are still being damaged by inscriptions and tags that are difficult to remove. Currently, stronger cleaning agents are being used to eliminate them.

      Alexander Ivanov instructed to prepare an appeal to law enforcement regarding the damage to the walls and to intensify efforts to remove the drawings.

      The district head also checked the cleanliness of pedestrian zones and the roadway. He ordered the sidewalks and curb strips to be cleared of sand and dirt accumulated over the winter as soon as possible, as well as to restore the nets on the lighting poles to prevent the posting of advertisements.

      Separately, they considered a request from residents regarding the area near the "Lyadov Square" bus stop towards the Oka exit. There is an unpaved section on the approach to the pavilion that turns into mud during precipitation.

      "We have decided to lay asphalt here for the convenience of Nizhny Novgorod residents. We plan to carry out the work in the second quarter of this year," Alexander Ivanov reported.

      Following the inspection, he noted that the public utilities and road services are actively preparing for the beautification month. According to him, an assessment of the condition of the areas is currently being conducted, and necessary repair work is being determined. The contractor has also been instructed to enhance snow and garbage removal, wash the canopies and underground passages, while organizing the work in such a way as not to create inconvenience for pedestrians.
