      March 26, 2026 13:54 Society The repair of the sewage collector on Novikova-Priboya Street in Nizhny Novgorod is planned to be completed by the end of June 2026, reports pravda-nn.ru citing JSC "Unified Utility Operator." Sinkholes on the roadway and sidewalks in the Lenin district were recorded at the end of August 2025. They appeared near house No. 12 on Novikova-Priboya Street and near house No. 20 on Gleba Uspenskogo Street. Along with sections of asphalt, road signs also sank underground. According to local residents, the first ground subsidence in this area occurred more than a year ago. In March, they began repairing the drainage line there. Specialists found that a large-diameter collector, which has been in operation for a long time and is in a worn-out condition, runs under the road. The site has been recognized as technically complex, a contractor has been determined for the work, and the necessary specialized equipment and machinery have been procured. The repair work, along with subsequent landscaping of the area, is planned to be completed in the second half of this year.
