Nizhny Novgorod region entered the top 5 in applications for the "Your Move" project.
Nizhny Novgorod Region has entered the top 5 in the number of applications for participation in the sixth season of the All-Russian student project "Your Move" of the presidential platform "Russia - a Land of Opportunities." This year, over 32,000 applications were received from across the country, including from 1,409 students from Nizhny Novgorod Region, who are already preparing to start working on the tasks of the competitive tracks to bring their ideas to life, develop leadership qualities, and open new professional opportunities.
In the sixth season of the "Your Move" project, students had the opportunity to choose one of five competitive tracks: "Doing," "Your Move, Class Leader!," "Inspiring," "Defining," and "Opening." Each track offers participants not only the chance to showcase their skills but also to demonstrate bold ideas in various fields.
"The 'Your Move' project is becoming not just a competition for students, but a starting point for their personal and professional trajectory. We see how interest grows year by year: young people are increasingly confidently asserting their initiatives. The application itself is already an important step, and for many, it was the most challenging: to dare, to believe in their abilities, to tell themselves 'I can.' Ahead of you is a rich path full of opportunities. I wish each participant not to stop, to boldly pursue their goals, and to achieve the victory they have set for themselves," noted Olga Dobrina, Director of Communications for the presidential platform "Russia - a Land of Opportunities."
In the "Doing" track, aimed at identifying and supporting student leaders whose project initiatives become a point of attraction for others, 355 applications were submitted from Nizhny Novgorod Region. Over nine months, participants will develop and implement their own projects, take educational courses, and organize events. At the end of the competition, the 100 best projects will be selected, and their leaders will receive a prize of 1,000,000 rubles.
For the "Your Move, Class Leader!" track, aimed at developing the leaders of academic groups, 295 applications were submitted from Nizhny Novgorod Region. Participants will need to demonstrate skills in organizing the educational process, effective communication, representing student interests, and participating in the development of the educational environment. Based on the results of the competitive trials, no more than 500 winners will receive a prize over six months, which will be significant support for their activities.
In the "Inspiring" track, regional teams will conduct events that engage students in the life of a unified student community and promote the development of local initiatives. At the end of the competition period, the 15 strongest teams will be identified, and the winners will receive a prize for team development in 2027.
In the "Defining" track, dedicated to researching the opinions of the student community on social and educational issues, 566 applications were submitted from Nizhny Novgorod Region. 200 participants with the highest scores will be invited to the project's final event and will receive prizes and gifts from partners.
For the "Opening" track, aimed at supporting first-year students and introducing them to the opportunities of the student community, the application campaign will start in August. Based on the results of the competitive trials, 200 winners will be selected, who will receive a prize for the next six months of study and an invitation to the final event.
Additionally, the organizers have expanded opportunities for creative self-expression: students could submit applications for special projects "Your Move x Improvisation" and "Your Move x Debate Battle," as well as for the flagship program "Live and Create in Russia," which opens new horizons for personal and professional development.
"Every application we received is a small spark of great potential. We see how students are not just learning but taking responsibility for the changes around them: in universities, regions, and the country. The 'Your Move' project unites young people ready to turn ideas into real projects, and seeing their growth, enthusiasm, and courage is what makes our work truly meaningful. Each year, student engagement in our country grows, and together we are shaping a generation capable of acting and creating the future," noted Yulia Epifanova, head of the All-Russian student project "Your Move."
The special projects "Your Move x Debate Battle" and "Your Move x Improvisation" have generated significant interest: 37 applications were received for the first and 46 for the second. As a result of the competitive selection, 109 students from Nizhny Novgorod Region were accepted into the flagship program "Live and Create in Russia." The initiative aims to prepare leaders of the student community and includes blocks of reflection, hiking, practice-oriented classes, as well as a foresight session that fosters the development of strategic thinking and the formation of participants' vision of the future.
The "Your Move" project of the presidential platform "Russia - a Land of Opportunities" is implemented as part of the national project "Youth and Children" with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
