An innovative training center for preparing personnel in the construction industry has been established in Nizhny Novgorod as part of the national project "Youth and Children."

      The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Secretary of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the United Russia party, Gleb Nikitin, participated in the opening of an innovative training center for preparing personnel in the construction industry. The center was established on the basis of the Nizhny Novgorod State Architectural and Construction University (NNGASU) in collaboration with the TechnoNIKOL corporation as part of the "Priority-2030" program of the national project "Youth and Children." The new facility combines the capabilities of higher education and industry and is intended for both training students and upgrading the qualifications of current specialists — builders, designers, and representatives of customer services. "NNGASU is one of the flagships of the construction industry and education in Russia. I know firsthand about the developments at the university that could be interesting for businesses and partners of NNGASU. It is very encouraging that the TechnoNIKOL corporation, which implements large construction and production projects in the Nizhny Novgorod region, is participating in the creation of the training center. I believe that we must work together with the training center to address the task of developing low-rise construction, making quality and modern housing truly accessible for Nizhny Novgorod families within the framework of the demographic program and working with participants of the SVO," said Gleb Nikitin. The development of mechanisms for interaction between universities and organizations in the real sector is one of the main tasks of the Decade of Science and Technology, declared in Russia by President Vladimir Putin. The opening of the center was also attended by the president and managing partner of TechnoNIKOL, Sergey Kolesnikov, the rector of NNGASU, Dmitry Shchegolev, representatives of the Ministry of Construction of Russia and the Nizhny Novgorod region, as well as the professional community. "We are creating not just a training center, but a joint platform where education and business operate as a single system. Both students and practicing specialists are equally in demand here: everyone will have access to modern technologies, real cases, and applied solutions for their work. I am confident that the center will become an additional impetus for training highly qualified personnel and developing the construction industry," noted Sergey Kolesnikov. The symbol of the opening was the installation "Tree of Meanings," reflecting the unification of the principles of architecture: strength, utility, and beauty — as the foundation for the interaction between education and industry. "For the university, this is not just a joint project, but a strategic partnership that expands the boundaries of classical higher education. We are moving from academic theory to a practice-oriented model, where the center becomes a point of attraction not only for students but also for the professional community — a platform where there is a constant exchange of experience and professional development," emphasized Dmitry Shchegolev. The center will implement more than 30 educational programs covering facade, roofing, and foundation systems, energy-efficient technologies, and modern materials. A separate block of programs is focused on upgrading the qualifications of current specialists, including project management, communications, and working with customers. The infrastructure includes classrooms, practical workshops, and space for teamwork. This format allows for continuous education — from training students to regular professional development for industry specialists. It is expected that more than 1,000 people will be trained at the center annually. The main goal of the "Priority-2030" program, under which the center was created, is to concentrate resources to ensure the contribution of Russian universities to achieving the national development goals of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030, to enhance their scientific and educational potential, and to ensure the participation of higher education institutions in the socio-economic development of regions. It should be noted that starting in 2025, a national project "Youth and Children" has been implemented in Russia by order of President Vladimir Putin, which addresses tasks previously outlined in the national projects "Education," "Science and Universities." The national project aims to create opportunities for the development of talents and self-realization of young people, fostering responsible and highly moral individuals. The focus of the national project is on the construction and renovation of schools, upgrading the qualifications of teachers, creating new teaching methodologies, and comfortable learning conditions. Special attention is given to supporting talented youth, including young specialists.

      The period from 2022 to 2031 has been declared the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia by the Decree of President Vladimir Putin. The main tasks of the Decade are to attract talented youth to the field of research and development, involve researchers and developers in solving the most important tasks of societal and national development, and increase public awareness of the achievements and prospects of domestic science.
