A tourist from Nizhny Novgorod was found dead in Goa.

      On March 24, 2026, at 15:50, Incidents: A 49-year-old man from Nizhny Novgorod, Vasily, died while vacationing at the Morjim resort in India. The incident was reported by the Telegram channel Shot.

      Morjim is popular among Russian-speaking tourists, which is why it is often referred to as a "Russian village." The man was renting accommodation in this area.

      According to the source, the owner of the room came to check on the tenant but could not get a response for a long time. After that, he contacted the police.

      Law enforcement officials forced entry into the premises and discovered the body of the Russian inside. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of death.

      It is known that before his trip to India, the man lived in Nizhny Novgorod and had been registered with a narcologist since 2012.

      He also maintained a travel blog. The last video he published was filmed at one of the Indian temples.

      Earlier, it was reported that the body of a 22-year-old woman from Nizhny Novgorod was found in one of the hotels in Georgia.
