The IV round of the Russian Water Polo Championship is taking place in Dzerzhinsk.

      The competition brought together the five strongest teams in the country, each represented by 15 athletes. The water polo players competing for the right to advance to the next stage are: KINEF LO (Kirish), the Chelyabinsk regional team, the Orion sports school (Balashikha), the Olympic reserve sports school for water polo (Kazan), and the Zarya sports school (Dzerzhinsk). The tournament began with a bright victory for our athletes: the Zarya team confidently defeated the guests from Balashikha with a score of 26:14. The game demonstrated the high level of training of Dzerzhinsk water polo players, their team spirit, and their will to win. – Holding competitions of this level is a powerful incentive for the development of youth sports. Our water polo school has glorious traditions and has raised more than one generation of champions. Today we see that these traditions live on: the guys train with dedication and show worthy results. It is important that our athletes have the opportunity to compete with the strongest teams in the country without leaving their hometown.
