      The Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot) has summed up the results of the "Industry Leader" competition. The Nizhny Novgorod shipping company for the development of high-speed fleet "Vodoley" became the winner in the nomination "Best Shipping Company Providing Regular Passenger Transport". Currently, the company's fleet includes two high-speed passenger hydrofoil vessels "Meteor 120R" — "Constructor Alexeyev" and "Captain Poluektov", five hydrofoil vessels "Valdai 45R", as well as two air-cushion vessels "Sputnik". The "Industry Leader" competition has been held since 2013 in 16 nominations. It includes both organizations subordinate to Rosmorrechflot and commercial structures.

      The development of water passenger transport has been identified by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, as one of the key tasks. Since 2019, the Nizhny Novgorod region has resumed the development of high-speed river passenger fleet, subsidizing transport and the purchase of vessels. In the navigation of 2025, the "Valdai 45R" and "Meteor 120R" vessels of the "Vodoley" company performed 4,600 trips and transported nearly 121,000 passengers.
