      On March 20, 2026, during the regular meeting of the permanent commission for the development of road infrastructure and transport of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma, chaired by Stanislav Prokopovich, the deputies were informed about the plans for horizontal road marking. The director of the Specialized Installation and Operation Institution of Nizhny Novgorod, Nikolai Mamonov, reported that as part of the current plan, marking is being carried out on 471 streets of the city, including 50 main highways. The total volume of work on the street and road network, parking for individual mobility vehicles (IMV), and the bike path network amounts to 188.7 thousand m². Of this, plastic will be used for 173.5 thousand m², and paint for 15.2 thousand m². "Paint will mainly be used for marking parking for individual mobility vehicles and bike paths. On the street and road network, 95% of the marking will be done with plastic – a modern, durable, and practical material, which will positively affect road safety," noted Stanislav Prokopovich.
