A domestic tyrant will serve 11 years for the murder of his wife in Dzerzhinsk.

      On March 20, 2026, at 09:00, Incidents: The Dzerzhinsk Court issued a verdict against a man found guilty of torturing and causing serious harm to his wife, which led to her death. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The investigation and the court established that since 2023, the man systematically inflicted physical and psychological suffering on his wife—he beat her and committed other violent acts. In December 2024, in their apartment on Galkin Street in Dzerzhinsk, during an argument, he brutally beat his wife, striking her in the face with his fists. The 45-year-old woman died from the injuries sustained. The court found the evidence presented by the investigation sufficient and qualified the actions of the accused under Part 1 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The man was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment to be served in a strict regime correctional colony.
