The school in Bogorodsk was closed for quarantine after a mass poisoning of students.

      On March 7, 2026, at 11:27 AM, Society reported that a mass poisoning of students occurred at a school on Chernyshevsky Street in Bogorodsk, according to the program "By the Way" (16+).

      According to the students, one of the boys felt unwell at home and was taken away by ambulance. The child had vomiting and a high fever.

      The schoolchildren interviewed by the television crew unanimously stated that there is an unpleasant smell in the school cafeteria.

      "Recently, for lunch, they served soup and potatoes with a fish cutlet. The cutlet had a rotten smell," a student complained.

      Rospotrebnadzor has closed the school for quarantine. The students have been transferred to remote learning.

      According to available information, cases of acute intestinal infection have been recorded at the educational institution. A sanitary and epidemiological investigation is underway. Samples of water and dishes have been taken, as well as swabs from surfaces. The source of the infection is being identified.

      It was previously reported that in a kindergarten in Nizhny Novgorod, poultry meat contaminated with listeria - bacteria capable of causing meningitis - was detected. Rospotrebnadzor stated that no cases of illness have been registered. After the contaminated meat was identified, measures were promptly taken to prevent the possible spread of infection.
