      On January 22, a strategic session was held in Moscow for the implementation of the federal project "Creation of the National Center for Physics and Mathematics." Participants summarized the results of the first five years of the NCFM's work and discussed development prospects until 2030 and 2045. Participants of the strategic session were welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov. "Thanks to the decision of our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the National Center for Physics and Mathematics has gained access to the research base of the Institute of Experimental Physics in Sarov. Today, you have the broadest opportunities available. And there are already tangible results. More than 70 academic and university partners are working closely with you. The construction of the infrastructure for midiscience laboratories is underway," noted Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko. "The Center is introducing new unique practices for organizing advanced scientific research. Leading universities in the country, including Lomonosov Moscow State University and MEPhI, are collaborating with it. Scientists at the NCFM are conducting unique research that helps solve the most important state tasks," said Minister of Education and Science Valery Falkov. The Minister emphasized that the center is a flagship project of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia. A unique optical processor with a performance of 10 to the 17th power of operations per second has already been created at the NCFM, and there are plans for the creation of proprietary installations of the "megascience" class. Participants of the strategic session discussed new challenges and tasks and outlined plans for their resolution. The first vice-rector for educational activities of the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after R.E. Alekseev, Evgeny Ivashkin, participated in the strategic session. It should be noted that the National Center for Physics and Mathematics was established by the order of the President of the Russian Federation in 2021 on the basis of the Russian Federal Nuclear Center - All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Experimental Physics (RFNC-VNIIEF) as part of the "Big Sarov" project.

      The Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University named after R.E. Alekseev, a supporting university of "Rosatom," is a partner of the National Center for Physics and Mathematics.
