      The first model library opened in the Avtozavodsky district on December 2, 2025. The grand opening of the first model library in the Avtozavodsky district was part of the regional program "Cultural Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" and was timed to the 70th anniversary of the institution. The updated space was first appreciated by representatives of the authorities:

      — Mikhail Pelchenkov, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region;

      — Leonid Streltzov, Deputy Head of the City of Nizhny Novgorod;

      — Alexander Nagin, Head of the Avtozavodsky District;

      — Svetlana Gulyaeva, Director of the Culture Department of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration.

      Ludmila Devyatkina, Director of the Centralized Library System of the Avtozavodsky District, conducted a tour, explaining the concept of "City within a City" in the updated Y.A. Adrianov Library (D'yakonova St., 25). Guests were impressed by:

      — an interactive floor with a projector and a traffic safety bus simulator for children;

      — a local history zone with a digital database about the history of the district;

      — a multimedia studio for children and a "Guides Bureau" for teenagers;

      — an accessible environment: ramps, a restroom for people with limited mobility, special workstations.

      Leonid Streltzov noted: "It is important that the library maintains its local history focus. There are dedicated people working here who turn the space into a point of attraction," while Mikhail Pelchenkov added: "This is the eighth model library in Nizhny Novgorod, but each has its own character. I am sure that Adrianovka will become a cultural magnet for the district."

      In the second part of the event, heads of district libraries, journalists, and project partners gathered. Ludmila Devyatkina presented thank-you letters to companies and specialists who participated in the renovation and design.

      Key figures and opportunities:

      — The library is visited by 67,000 people annually;

      — The updated collection includes 2,000 new books, with an emphasis on local history;

      — 5 functional zones;

      — Free services: family movie screenings, library tours.

      The ceremonial part was adorned by:

      — Congratulations from colleagues, presented by Tatiana Nikitina (head of the Mamin-Sibiryak Library);

      — A musical performance by international competition laureate Sofia Egorova (ensemble "Veretentse").

      Irina Neugodova, head of the Adrianov Library, emphasized: "We will preserve the best traditions, but now we will be able to speak to readers in a modern language. Digital technologies will help us tell about our native district, educate patriots, and shape reading culture."

      Historical reference

      The library, founded in 1955 as branch No. 9 named after Makarenko, has been named after poet Yuri Adrianov, an honorary citizen of the region, since 2007. The last renovation here was done in 1993. The modernization has restored the institution's status as a cultural center uniting generations.

      In 2026, projects will be launched:

      - Sunday family screenings of films and cartoons

      - Classes in the multimedia studio for children

      - Classes in the local history club
