The teenager who carried out the massacre at school No. 117 in Nizhny Novgorod has had his house arrest extended. This was reported by the press service of the Sormovsky District Court.
Recall that on March 11, a loud incident occurred at school No. 117: during a lesson, an eighth-grader attacked his peers with a knife. He stabbed one boy in the back and another in the neck, after which he fled. The injured were taken to the hospital.
The attacker was detained in a forest nine kilometers from the school, and a criminal case was initiated against him under the article "Attempted murder." The teenager was placed under house arrest for two months. Additionally, another criminal case was opened by an investigator from the Investigative Committee of the Nizhny Novgorod region - this time under the article "Negligence," regarding the negligent attitude of school staff responsible for safety at the institution. The school principal was suspended from work during the investigation.
As it became known today, the attacker’s house arrest has been extended for another month, until August 11.
