It has become known which commuter trains will be canceled in the Nizhny Novgorod Region in January.

      In January 2026, changes will take place in the suburban train schedules in the Nizhny Novgorod region — some routes will be canceled, and new commuter trains will be launched or their schedules changed on certain lines. This was reported by JSC "Volgo-Vyatka Suburban Passenger Company."

      Thus, starting January 11, a new train No. 6264 began running on Sundays, traveling from Nizhny Novgorod to Pravdinsk.

      As of January 12, train No. 6046 began running daily on the Varya–Pravdinsk route. In addition, on Saturdays a commuter train No. 6245 is now available, connecting Pravdinsk with Nizhny Novgorod.

      Also, as of January 12 the route of train No. 6243 has been changed — it now departs from Pravdinsk at 06:25, stops in Balakhna at 06:34, and then continues according to the previous schedule.

      From January 16, two new suburban services will be introduced on Fridays: train No. 6234 will depart from Nizhny Novgorod to Mokhovye Gory at 14:35 and arrive at 15:15. Then at 15:27 train No. 6217/6218 will begin running, heading to Gagarin Avenue, where it will arrive at 17:36.

      At the same time, train No. 6017/6018, which previously ran on Fridays from Nizhny Novgorod to Gagarin Avenue, is being removed from the schedule.

      Some routes will be completely canceled:

      - As of January 12, the operation of trains No. 6246 (Nizhny Novgorod–Balakhna) and No. 6267 (Pravdinsk–Nizhny Novgorod) will cease on weekdays from Monday to Thursday;

      - As of January 16, train No. 6269 Pochinki–Nizhny Novgorod will be canceled;

      - As of January 17, the service on route No. 6266 Nizhny Novgorod–Pravdinsk (on Saturdays) will cease.

      It was previously reported that the schedules of seven Nizhny Novgorod commuter trains will also change in January.
