More than 50 animals died in a fire at a farm in the Gorodetsky District.

In the village of Startsevo in the Gorodetsky district, personnel from the Ministry of Emergency Situations extinguished a large fire that broke out at a private household farm and an administrative building.
According to the agency's press service, the fire covered an area of 830 square meters. Fifteen Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel and five specialized vehicles were involved in extinguishing the blaze. Thanks to the prompt work of the firefighters, further spread of the flames was prevented.
There were no human casualties as a result of the incident. However, more than 50 head of livestock were killed.
According to preliminary data, the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction.
Earlier it was reported that in the Pilninsky district a local resident died in a fire due to careless smoking.
