      Three teenagers who got lost in the Zavolzhye forest were found on the evening of January 4. This was reported by the search and rescue team "Volunteer".

      The alert came in at 20:52. The teenagers reported that they were in the area of a lake or marshy terrain. Communication with them was maintained, which allowed responders to question them and clarify the approximate location. The volunteers noted that they tried not to drain the teenagers' phone batteries.

      An urgent assembly was called immediately afterward. Search teams began forming crews, dispatching all-terrain vehicles, and contacting canine handlers and other search units.

      By the time the volunteers arrived, EMERCOM personnel and the district emergency rescue service were already working on site. Through joint efforts the teenagers were located. They were handed over to an ambulance crew.

      Also, on January 4 the search for a 13-year-old girl who went missing in Nizhny Novgorod on the eve of the New Year was concluded. She was found alive.

      According to PSO "Rys", in 2025 more than 1,500 missing people were found in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
