The Pushkin Museum-Reserve in Boldino has launched two card-based programs.

      The A.S. Pushkin Boldino Museum‑Reserve has launched two new programs under the "Pushkin Card." Guests of the museum in Bolshoye Boldino and in Nizhny Novgorod can take part. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      At the Boldino Pushkin estate, young visitors will be able to supplement the tour with a master class, and in Nizhny Novgorod — to see our city through the eyes of Alexander Pushkin.

      At the A.S. Pushkin Boldino Museum‑Reserve, "Pushkin Card" holders can participate in the master class "Writing with a Goose Quill." This session is an opportunity to immerse oneself in the atmosphere of the 19th century and learn the art of calligraphy. Participants will hear the history of this art, learn the secrets of 19th‑century scribes' craft and, under the guidance of an experienced instructor, will write a text with a real goose quill and ink.

      In addition, at the Nizhny Novgorod Pushkin Museum — a branch of the Boldino museum‑reserve at 5 Minin and Pozharsky Square — "Pushkin Card" holders are invited to attend the author's walking tour "A Walk with Pushkin." Children can choose from three routes: "On the Upper Settlement, opposite the Dmitrievsky Gates," "And for the Fatherland one Nizhny Novgorod townsman rose…" and "Streets wide, paved…"

      Pushkin's stay in Nizhny Novgorod was short — he spent only two days here in September 1833. Tour participants will learn where the hotel that became Pushkin's temporary home was located, as well as the poet's walking route around the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, and will see the buildings that witnessed his visit.       "Working with school and student audiences is a top priority for the museum‑reserve and its branch in Nizhny Novgorod. Children make up about 50 percent of our visitors. Therefore we try to make a visit to us as accessible as possible for both parents and teachers. The federal project 'Pushkin Card' helps us take concrete steps in this direction — launching new programs and entire educational routes. At our sites you can hold literature lessons, Russian language lessons, history and art lessons, and now calligraphy as well," said Oksana Nesterova, Deputy Director for Development of the A.S. Pushkin Boldino Museum‑Reserve.

      Recall that the museum‑reserve offers other programs and tour routes for "Pushkin Card" holders. In Bolshoye Boldino these include the tours "Pushkin at Boldino. Life and Work," "In the World of the Literary Characters of The Tales of Belkin," as well as an admission ticket to the protected park of the Boldino Pushkin estate. In Nizhny Novgorod, with the "Pushkin Card" visitors can purchase a ticket for the exhibition tour "Pushkin in Nizhny Novgorod" and a ticket for the exhibition tour "Nizhny Novgorod in Pushkin's Time."       Recall that the "Pushkin Card" program operates within the national "Family" project, which began in Russia in 2025 at the initiative of President Vladimir Putin.
