A woman died in a fire in the Borsky District on January 1.

In the morning of January 1, a fire broke out in a residential house in the village of Yelovaya in the Borsky district. The fire engulfed about 100 square meters, the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
A woman died as a result of the fire. Her identity is currently being established. Three other people were injured, including two children.
The causes of the blaze are being determined by investigators from the emergency agency.
Earlier it was reported that on the night of December 30 a 74-year-old man died in a nighttime fire in the Avtozavodsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. The preliminary cause of the fire was an improperly extinguished cigarette.
