The State Labor Inspectorate has begun to clarify all the circumstances of a road traffic accident involving five heavy trucks, the agency's press service reported.
The accident occurred on December 26 on the M-7 "Volga" federal highway in the area of the village of Chuguny, located in the Vorotynsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. One of the drivers sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized.
As noted by the head of the regional office of the State Labor Inspectorate, Ilya Moshes, interaction with other relevant bodies has been established. Specialists intend to determine whether the injured were officially employed, and also to find out whether the incident is related to the performance of their work duties.
He added that the results of the inspection will make it clear whether there are signs of violations of labor legislation or occupational safety conditions.
Earlier it was reported that the State Labor Inspectorate of the Nizhny Novgorod region is conducting an investigation into a fatal accident that occurred on a floating crane in the Borsky district.
