The number of IVF quotas in the Nizhny Novgorod region will be increased in 2026.

      December 30, 2025, 17:10 — Society — In 2026, the Nizhny Novgorod region plans to increase the number of quotas for in vitro fertilization to almost 3,200 procedures. This was reported by Alexey Nikonov, editor-in-chief of the medical publication "Stacionar-press", on his Telegram channel.

      According to him, at the beginning of 2025 there were doubts about whether all 2,910 allocated quotas (1,000 of them from the region) would be used. At the time that number seemed record-breaking. According to preliminary results for the period from January to November 2025, almost all of the allocated quotas have already been used.

      The program will be funded from the territorial fund of compulsory medical insurance, which will allocate more than 430 million rubles for these purposes. The regional budget will add another 169 million rubles.

      Earlier it was reported that in Nizhny Novgorod, on the site of the "Family Quarter", the first state IVF/ICSI center is also planned to be created.
