More than 115 thousand people obtained the Nizhny Novgorod Region Resident Card in 2025. In total, about 300 thousand Nizhny Novgorod residents have joined the project since its inception.

Over the past year the Resident Card expanded its ecosystem and was integrated with many regional resources. For example, the portal added the "My Sport" service, which allows the card to be used as a pass to sports facilities in the region that are partners of the program. Using the service, for instance, one can obtain a membership for a sports and recreation center (FOC) or another sports facility.

Also in 2025 a section appeared on the Resident Card portal where users can find active free Wi‑Fi hotspots.

"Over the past year the project has taken a significant step forward by making the card available to residents of small settlements, who can now apply for it at any multifunctional center (MFC). Such a tool, which simplifies the interaction between citizens, businesses and the government, is very important for a region that strives to be comfortable to live in," said Vitaly Klimashov, director of the Nizhny Novgorod Center for Coordination of Digital Economy Projects.

Among other things, since 2025 it has become possible to issue Resident Cards for schoolchildren and students online. Additionally, the Resident Card app added a Parent's account, which displays information about a child's school attendance times and school meal data.

In February 2025 the portal launched the "Search for Lost Animals" service using artificial intelligence, which will help find the owners of lost pet cats and dogs. During the "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" (CIPR-2025) conference the service was presented to Dmitry Grigorenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and Head of the Government Office. The project also became the winner of the all‑Russian "Prof‑IT.2025" competition in the category "Artificial Intelligence in Public Administration."

In addition, in 2025 more than 50 new partners joined the project, including banks, pharmacies, a water park and other companies. This demonstrates a high level of trust in the project among business representatives in the region. The expansion of the partner base allows Nizhny Novgorod residents to receive additional discounts and special conditions when using the card.

Recall that the development of government portals using artificial intelligence technologies responds to the objectives of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State," which has been implemented in Russia since 2025 at the instruction of President Vladimir Putin.
