The court extended the pretrial detention of political strategist Mikhail Khaluga until March 2026.

      Political technologist Mikhail Khaluga will remain in custody until and including 4 March 2026. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the regional court's press service.

      The Moscow District Court made this decision on 18 December 2025.

      Recall that Khaluga was arrested in June 2025. He was initially suspected of receiving a commercial bribe on a particularly large scale. However, his status in the case was later changed — he is now being prosecuted as an intermediary in the transfer of a bribe.

      It was previously reported that the criminal case against Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneur Dmitry Kartushin, accused of large-scale fraud, was transferred from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod.
