Lyskovo police officers identified a foreign national with a forged passport.
Officers of the Lyskovo Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (OMVD) discovered a forged identity document on a citizen from a neighboring foreign republic.
The document bore a stamp indicating the issuance of a temporary residence permit, but a check of migration registration records revealed that there are no records for the said citizen and that the stamp is a forgery.
A criminal case has been opened on suspicion of an offense under Part 1 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Forgery, manufacture or circulation of forged documents, state awards, stamps, seals or forms). The penalty under this article provides for imprisonment for up to two years.
The foreign citizen has been expelled from the Russian Federation.
