      In April, the ground collapsed on the slope of the Koshelevsky ravine.

      The heightened readiness regime, introduced because of the landslide in the Koshelevsky ravine, has been lifted in the Nizhegorodsky district of Nizhny Novgorod. It had been in effect near the cable car station. This was announced in a decree published on the city mayor’s website. Read more about the causes on the Newsroom24 website.

      Recall that the ground collapse occurred in April of this year. The landslide was caused by soil over-saturation. Over the winter, a large amount of snow accumulated on the slope, which subsequently melted.

      Earlier, Newsroom24 reported that nearly 43 million rubles from municipal and regional budgets were planned to be allocated for eliminating the consequences of the landslide and reinforcing the slope.

      A special regime was introduced in the ravine area below the cable car station, which, according to the documents, was supposed to remain in effect until the end of November 2025.
