In Nizhny Novgorod, a new museum called "Law and Order," dedicated to the history of law enforcement agencies, has opened on the grounds of the Limpopo Zoo.

According to the zoo's press service, this is already the fifth historical exhibition (0+) on the institution's premises. Visitors will be able to learn the history of the police — from the pre-revolutionary police to modern security forces.

The exhibition features a wide collection of uniforms, including the attire of the police of the Russian Empire, the Soviet militia, the internal troops, as well as modern divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Among them are the uniforms of the traffic police (GIBDD), the prosecutor's office, the Investigative Committee (SK), the tax police, the drug control service, the Federal Penitentiary Service, customs and the National Guard (Rosgvardiya).

In addition, the museum displays samples of weapons, police vehicles and equipment used in various years.

Special attention is paid to the international component of the collection. Here police uniforms from countries such as the USA, the UAE, Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Denmark, Israel, Italy, Spain, Canada, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Armenia, Bulgaria, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and others are presented.

One of the most unusual parts of the exhibition is the collection of police headgear from around the world. The showcases contain peaked caps and helmets from Germany, France, Australia, China, Thailand, Mexico, Tunisia, Sri Lanka, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Portugal and many other countries.

Also on display is the historical uniform of the elite Italian military unit — the Bersaglieri, known for their bearing and the famous plumes on their headgear.

As the author and initiator of the project, Vladimir Gerasichkin, said, part of the exhibits were transferred from the Vachsky Museum of Militia and Police, and a significant part of the collection was assembled by him personally over many years.

Earlier it was reported that a snow leopard from Switzerland has settled in Nizhny Novgorod's "Limpopo."
