The "My Business" Center helped 60 entrepreneurs enter marketplaces.

      Experts from the "My Business" center opened stores on marketplaces for 60 Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs as part of the educational project "Digital Business Growth: Entering Marketplaces." The project was organized by the My Business center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region within the framework of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."

      According to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Maksim Cherkasov, the project winners received comprehensive turnkey assistance in launching a store. The service package includes selecting a suitable trading platform, creating product listings, preparing photographic materials, assistance with the initial assortment placement, setting up the seller’s account and support during the initial stage of working with the marketplace.

      “Two hundred entrepreneurs from 20 municipalities of the region took part in the project. The program was adapted to different levels of preparation and areas of activity of the participants so that everyone received clear tools — training in a convenient format, specialist support, and practical tasks. This approach helps confidently take the first steps, open a store and start selling on modern online platforms,” Maksim Cherkasov noted.

      Specialists from the My Business center helped the project winners open stores selling textile products, knitwear, outerwear, furniture, wooden products, folk arts and crafts, sporting goods, jewelry, books, games and toys, tools, auto parts, medical devices, confectionery and bakery products, flaxseed oil, honey, fruit and berry products and household goods.

      Sixty people were selected from the participants for whom specialists created storefronts on marketplaces. Winners were determined according to several criteria: the number of product names offered, the type of entrepreneurial activity of the participants, as well as the presence of a registered trademark and certificates of conformity for the products.

      All project participants received individual consultations, personal recommendations on choosing the optimal trading platform and promotion strategy, including initial marketing steps, product assortment preparation and the formation of a marketplace entry plan.

      Evgenia Zvereva from the village of Vad sews clothing. According to her, participation in the project became an important step toward developing online sales.

      “I have long wanted to sell clothes across the country, but I was afraid I wouldn't cope with listing and shipping goods. In the project, they helped me choose from my assortment the most suitable items for sale on marketplaces, as well as nicely design the listings and prepare the products for launch. In the very first month there were the first sales, and it became clear that there is buyer interest. Now I am preparing new products to expand the store,” Evgenia Zvereva said.

      Participation in the project "Digital Business Growth: Entering Marketplaces" became an opportunity for honey producer Olga Sautenkova to take the first step toward developing online sales and bringing her products to a wider market.

      “I wanted to expand my market and go beyond the Nizhny Novgorod Region, but I didn't know where to start. Within the project, they helped me decide on the assortment, prepare the products and choose the right price. A few weeks after the launch the first orders appeared, followed by repeat purchases. Now I confidently run the store myself and am preparing to expand the product line,” Olga Sautenkova shared.
