Nizhny Novgorod resident Ilya Myaskovsky has been removed from the list of terrorists and extremists maintained by Rosfinmonitoring. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel on December 24.
The activist added that he still had not received an answer from the agency as to why he had been added to the list. He suggested that he may have been placed on the list on the basis of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, under which he had previously been convicted. He also reminded that the fine in the case was paid on January 25, 2024, and under Article 86 of the Criminal Code a conviction is considered extinguished one year after the punishment is carried out if it does not involve deprivation of liberty.
"If I was included on the list on that basis, then that was incorrect. The mistake has been corrected, one would assume," he wrote.
The editorial office of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" also checked the list and confirmed that Myaskovsky's name appears in the excluded section.
It is worth noting that information about the activist being added to the registry appeared last week.
Earlier reports said that two 17-year-old natives of Dzerzhinsk had been added to the list of extremists.
