The House of National Unity delivered a cargo-passenger vehicle to Nizhny Novgorod fighters in the special military operation zone.

      The Coordination Center for the Support of Servicemen and Their Families, operating on the basis of the House of National Unity, handed over a cargo-passenger vehicle to Nizhny Novgorod participants of the SVO. The keys to the vehicle were presented to the fighters by the director of the House of National Unity, Roman Koshelev, and the center’s chief specialist for interaction with military units and participant in the “Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region” program, Vladimir Petrukhov.

      “The vehicle was previously used by one of Arzamas’s social institutions. Our partners — volunteers who do car repairs — prepared the vehicle so that it meets all necessary technical requirements. We are sending it to the Nizhny Novgorod servicemen at the front so they can carry out combat tasks even more successfully. Our common goal is — by joining efforts — to do everything possible for victory. The Coordination Center brings together a huge number of organizations and residents of Nizhny Novgorod who sincerely care about the guys and help,” said the director of the House of National Unity, Roman Koshelev.

      The vehicle will be sent to an engineer-sapper unit where Nizhny Novgorod residents serve. It will be used to transport servicemen as well as to deliver various cargo.

      “Transport in the SVO zone is in high demand to ensure the mobility and logistics of military units. The vehicle will help our servicemen to achieve their objectives promptly and accurately. Support and assistance from residents of our native region is very important to us. It raises morale, strengthens confidence and motivates us to move only forward and to go as a united front until victory. We thank our fellow countrymen for their support!” the fighters expressed.

      As SVO veteran Vladimir Petrukhov noted, extensive and systematic work is being carried out in the region to support our servicemen and their families.

      “We regularly provide targeted assistance to military units and help the families of SVO participants at all levels. Our fighters must be provided with everything necessary to successfully carry out their important mission. We constantly interact with unit commanders and promptly respond to all requests. To date, the Coordination Center has processed almost 3,400 requests. More than 280 cargo and passenger vehicles and 770 humanitarian convoys totaling about 4,900 tons have already been sent to the SVO zone by the regional government and the center. And this work is being carried out on an ongoing basis,” he said.

      Recall that the Coordination Center for the Support of Servicemen and Their Families was established at the House of National Unity in October 2022. The center works on forming and sending humanitarian aid to the SVO zone, maintains contact with military units, organizes interagency cooperation, handles appeals from servicemen and their relatives, and conducts events to support SVO participants and their families.
