      The gaming platform Roblox was blocked in Russia due to serious violations. This was stated by the press service of Roskomnadzor, as reported by 360.ru.

      According to the agency, content that promotes extremist and terrorist activities, calls for violence, and promotes LGBT themes was repeatedly found on the platform. At the same time, the internal moderation system did not provide an adequate level of safety.

      Roskomnadzor noted that violations occur even in game rooms and locations where users can participate in scenarios simulating terrorist acts, attacks on schools, and gambling. Cases of sexual violence and harassment in the game were also recorded, including extortion of intimate photographs and coercion to lewd acts.

      Previously, Roskomnadzor repeatedly appealed to the Roblox administration with a demand to restrict access to materials that violate the law.

      It should be recalled that a virtual Nizhny Novgorod appeared in Roblox. In addition, our city was the first in Russia to create a sports metaverse.
